Getting to Birmingham

Conference venues: University of Birmingham campus (Monday and Tuesday) and the historic Birmingham and Midland Institute (Wednesday).

Train: Birmingham is easily accessible by rail. Downtown stations include New Street (main hub), Moor Street, and Snow Hill. From there, you can get to the University of Birmingham campus by taking a connection to University Station, which is on the north end of campus, or by taking ground transportation (see below). The Birmingham and Midland Institute is a 5-minute walk from either Birmingham New Street or Snow Hill stations.All timetables available at National Rail.

Air travel: Birmingham is served by Birmingham International Airport (BHX). There is also direct bus service from Heathrow and Gatwick airports by National Express (Bus 210).

Ground Transport: National Express West Midlands runs public buses. Routes X21 and X22 run every 5 minutes between the University of Birmingham and Downtown; you can pay with any contact-less card on the bus. Uber and Lyft also operate; for black cabs, we recommend TOA (0121 427 8888).
